You reap what you sow

Let’s ask some simple questions: Who is running GEBE? Who sits on the board? The Dutch man or locals? Who is running BTP? Who sits on the board? The Dutch man or locals? Who are the shareholders of these companies? The Dutch man or locals?

Let’s be honest. These are locally owned companies, overseen by locally appointed or elected officials. The very people you voted for, and the people appointed through a political process. So, WHO is really the problem? They give you excuses. They feed you narratives. And you believe them.

Then they blame the CFT. But let me ask you: Is the CFT an execution body? Does the CFT sit in Government? Does the CFT sit in Parliament? Does the CFT run the day-to-day operations of these companies or the government apparatus?

Or is it that blaming the CFT and other High Councils has become the most convenient way to escape accountability? At what point do we stop accepting excuses and start holding our own people accountable?

Let’s face it. A significant part of the problems we face today are the result of our own decisions. We have continued to elect, re-elect, and empower the very architects of the problems we complain about. And then we wonder why nothing changes.

Make that make sense, because it ain’t sensible. The proof is in the pudding. Just look at Mullet Bay! (Another Pearl of China)

You are being manipulated and disrespected right in your face, and your pay slip is all the receipts you need. But hey, when election time comes, the same promises will be made, the same excuses will be repeated, and the same people will ask for your vote.

And some of us will hand it right back to them. Then, when the consequences arrive, we complain. But accountability starts with the people we put in power. And if we keep planting the same seeds, we should not be surprised when we harvest the same results.
