GREAT BAY--NAGICO Insurances will host its annual Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the Erwin "Baco" Richardson Little League Stadium, offering free health screenings, wellness activities, educational sessions and family entertainment as part of its continued efforts to promote healthier lifestyles on St. Maarten.

The event, which is fully organized and sponsored by NAGICO Insurances, will feature an expanded lineup of activities and two new competitions: the NAGICO Mini Olympics, Business Edition, and the NAGICO Healthy Plate Cook-Off Challenge, Influencer Version.

According to the company, the move to a new venue will provide an opportunity to expand the fair and introduce more interactive activities while maintaining its emphasis on preventive healthcare, health education and overall well-being.

The fair will bring together healthcare professionals, wellness experts, fitness enthusiasts, community organizations and businesses offering products and services intended to support healthier lifestyles.

Visitors will have access to free health screenings and opportunities to learn more about preventive care and managing health risks. The event will also feature activities designed to encourage physical movement, healthier eating and greater awareness of personal health.

NAGICO Marketing Manager Lisa McKay said the company's commitment to healthcare extends beyond providing medical insurance coverage.

"As a medical insurance provider, we believe our role extends beyond simply providing coverage," McKay said. "We have a responsibility to help educate the public and create greater awareness about the importance of healthy living. Non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and obesity continue to rise throughout our region, and prevention begins with education."

McKay explained that the Health & Wellness Fair is intended to provide individuals and families with information, resources and motivation to make healthier choices and reduce their risks of developing preventable health conditions.

The company said the introduction of the Mini Olympics, Business Edition, will add a competitive element to the event, while the Healthy Plate Cook-Off Challenge, Influencer Version, will place attention on healthier food preparation and nutrition.

Both competitions form part of NAGICO's efforts to make health education more interactive and accessible to a wider cross-section of the community.

"Attendees will have the opportunity to access valuable health information, participate in wellness activities, and connect with exhibitors offering products and services that support physical, mental, and overall well-being. So come dressed to immerse yourself in this experience," McKay said.

The company emphasized that prevention and education remain central to the initiative, particularly as Caribbean communities continue to face challenges associated with diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and obesity.

Through the fair, NAGICO hopes to encourage residents to become more proactive about their health, take advantage of available screening opportunities and adopt habits that support long-term well-being.

With its new location, expanded activities and additional competitions, NAGICO said the 2026 edition is expected to be its largest Health & Wellness Fair to date.

The company has extended an open invitation to the public to attend the November 14 event and participate in the activities and health services being offered.

Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Philipsburg, NAGICO Group provides property, casualty, life and health insurance products and risk solutions throughout the Caribbean.
