MAC CSE celebrates outstanding 2026 CXC CSEC results, student earns 17 Grade Ones

GREAT BAY--The Methodist Agogic Centre Comprehensive Secondary Education, MAC CSE Clinton J. Spring Campus, is celebrating one of its strongest academic performances to date following the release of the June 2026 CXC CSEC examination results, with 13 subjects recording a 100 percent pass rate and one student earning Grade I in all 17 subjects he sat.

School Board and Management said the results reflect the commitment of students and teachers, supported by families who played an important role throughout the academic year.

MAC CSE entered students in 22 subjects, with 13 achieving a 100 percent pass rate for Grades I to III. The subjects are Biology, Chemistry, English A, English B, French, Information Technology, Music, Office Administration, Physical Education and Sport, Social Studies, Theatre Arts, Principles of Business and Principles of Accounts.

Strong performances were also recorded in several other subjects. Human and Social Biology achieved a 94 percent pass rate, Integrated Science 83 percent, Spanish 81 percent, Religious Education 80 percent and Geography 75 percent.

According to the school, the results demonstrate strength across a wide range of disciplines, including the sciences, humanities, business, languages and the arts.

Another significant achievement came from a group of 15 students who successfully completed eight or more subjects, including the two core CSEC subjects, English A and Mathematics.

They are Rishi Pokhriyal, Lashantay Brown, Naiomi Paul, Cathlypha Saunders, Tikeha Bourne, Xzeria Elcock, Kadicha Proctor, Jakeem Jermin-Brooks, Josiah Paul, Emmanuel Richardson, Jaeden Bramble, Joshua Mickle, Timir Simmon, Omarion Wallace and Shaeijuan Williams.

School Board and Management described their performance as a reflection of the discipline and commitment required to manage a demanding academic workload while maintaining success in English A and Mathematics.

Among the class of 2026, Rishi Rakesh Pokhriyal recorded an exceptional individual achievement by earning Grade I in all 17 CSEC subjects he sat.

His success continues an academic journey with MAC that began at the Rev. J.A.G. Campus, where he graduated as Grade 6 valedictorian. His academic performance continued through secondary school and, in December 2023, he was named the Top Male Performer for the Region in the CXC-CCSLC examinations.

For MAC, his latest accomplishment is also an example of the institution's philosophy of supporting students throughout the different stages of their educational development.

Reflecting on the demands of preparing for 17 subjects, Rishi said: “CSEC was a journey… Managing seventeen SBAs proved to be a bit of a challenge as deadlines approached; however, staying ahead of the curve allowed me to cross the finish line.”

His parents also highlighted the importance of supporting students beyond academics.

“We always tried our best to help him… Support didn’t always come in the form of academic help, for emotional and mental support were also equally important throughout his studies,” they said.

They also credited his teachers for the role they played throughout his academic journey.

“A special thanks to the teachers who are the real backbone behind our son’s success. Their guidance and support made all the difference.”

School Board and Management stressed that the overall 2026 results represent a collective achievement involving students, teachers, administrators and parents.

The school said the academic performance reinforces its commitment to developing students who are prepared to continue their education, pursue professional opportunities and contribute to their communities.

As MAC CSE celebrates the results, School Board and Management congratulated every student who participated in the examinations, as well as the teachers and families who supported them throughout the process.

The institution said the results demonstrate what can be achieved when students are surrounded by teachers who guide them, parents who encourage them and a school community committed to their development, continuing what MAC describes as its legacy of excellence, “from the cradle to the grave.”
