SXM AIRPORT--JetBlue is increasing its service to St. Maarten this summer, with its Fort Lauderdale-Princess Juliana International Airport route set to return to daily service beginning July 9, 2026.
The airline is adding three weekly frequencies to Princess Juliana International Airport, bringing the Fort Lauderdale-St. Maarten route to one flight per day. The expanded schedule will give travelers more flexibility when planning trips to St. Maarten, while strengthening one of the island’s important air connections to South Florida.
The additional flights come at a positive time for St. Maarten’s tourism sector, as the destination continues to benefit from improved airport facilities, renewed visitor interest and stronger regional connectivity. Princess Juliana International Airport remains one of the Caribbean’s most recognized gateways, serving both St. Maarten and travelers connecting onward to neighboring islands.
The return to daily JetBlue service is expected to support visitor arrivals, provide more options for residents and returning nationals, and improve access for business, leisure and regional travelers. The Fort Lauderdale connection is also important for passengers traveling through South Florida to reach St. Maarten and the surrounding northeastern Caribbean.
St. Maarten continues to play a central role as a travel hub for nearby destinations, including Anguilla, Saba and St. Barth. With daily service from Fort Lauderdale, travelers will have more convenient options for reaching the island and connecting onward by ferry or short regional flights.
The expanded JetBlue schedule also supports the broader effort to strengthen airlift into St. Maarten, which remains essential to the country’s tourism-driven economy. Reliable and frequent service from major U.S. gateways helps support hotels, restaurants, transportation providers, attractions, retail businesses and the wider hospitality sector.
With daily service beginning July 9, St. Maarten will see stronger connectivity to South Florida during the summer travel season, creating additional opportunities for visitors, residents and regional travelers moving through Princess Juliana International Airport.
