Guest Services and Wellness to account for more than 185 jobs at The Setai St. Maarten

GREAT BAY--In continuing its roll-out of information to the public of St. Maarten and the major employment role it will be playing in the market, The Setai St. Maarten has outlined more than 185 future employment opportunities across several key areas of its planned luxury hospitality operation, including approximately 135 roles within guest-facing rooms operations and more than 50 positions in spa, wellness, recreation and administration.

The positions form part of The Setai’s continued effort to give the St. Maarten community a clearer picture of the employment opportunities expected to become available as the resort works toward its planned opening in 2028.

Approximately 135 roles are expected within the resort’s guest-facing rooms operations, an area that will be central to the overall guest experience. These positions will focus on the standards associated with luxury hospitality, including attention to detail, service, warmth and pride in the work.

The Setai said many of these roles are also expected to provide opportunities for professional advancement over time, including pathways into supervisory and management positions.

Together with the resort’s culinary teams, guest-facing rooms operations are expected to represent one of the largest sources of steady employment within The Setai St. Maarten. These employees will be directly involved in creating and maintaining the level of service that guests will experience throughout their stay.

The resort has also identified more than 50 future positions within spa, wellness, recreation and related administration.

The Setai Spa & Wellness operation is expected to include therapists, wellness practitioners and spa hosts, while the resort’s recreation facilities will create opportunities connected to the gym, tennis and pickleball offerings. Administrative positions will provide support across these areas.

For St. Maarteners interested in wellness, fitness and service-oriented careers, these positions are expected to provide opportunities to enter and grow within an expanding segment of the luxury hospitality industry.

The Setai said its employment series is intended to provide the community with a department-by-department look at where jobs will be created and the types of career paths that will become available as the property moves closer to opening.

Upcoming information will focus on engineering, maintenance and security, with additional departments to be highlighted in the weeks ahead.

The resort has positioned the employment component of the development as part of its wider investment in St. Maarten, with an emphasis on creating opportunities for local residents to build careers across different areas of hospitality.
