GREAT BAY--Celebrating 30 years in the DJ industry, Sint Maarten’s own DJ Outkast, widely known as The Cut Creator, added another milestone to his remarkable career with his first-ever performance at the 2026 World Creole Music Festival in Dominica, with his island's flag flying high.
The three-day festival, held October 23–25 at Windsor Park Sports Stadium, brought together an impressive lineup of regional and international artists for one of the Caribbean’s major celebrations of music and culture.

Representing Sint Maarten on Sunday, October 25, DJ Outkast took to the festival stage following the performance of legendary singer Maxi Priest. His appearances formed part of an evening featuring internationally acclaimed performers, including South African DJ and producer Uncle Waffles, singer Fridayy and soca superstar Machel Montano, who closed the night.
The opportunity marked a significant moment in the DJ’s three-decade journey, bringing his experience and musical versatility to an international festival stage alongside some of the biggest names in music.
One of the most memorable moments of his performance came when DJ Outkast proudly raised the Sint Maarten flag before the festival crowd. The powerful image captured the pride of an entertainer representing his homeland on an international platform and celebrating the island that helped shape his career.
Reflecting on the experience, DJ Outkast described the opportunity as a tremendous honour.
“Having the opportunity to perform at the World Creole Music Festival for the first time was truly an honour. To stand on such a huge stage, share the lineup with incredible international artists and represent Sint Maarten is something I will always cherish. After 30 years of DJing, opportunities like this remind me why I fell in love with music in the first place. I’m proud to represent my island wherever this journey takes me.”
Beyond his work as a performing DJ, DJ Outkast is a familiar voice in Sint Maarten’s entertainment industry. He hosts The Power Hour on Laser 101 FM and has built a strong reputation for his versatility, passion for music and ability to connect with audiences across different genres and generations.
Reaching 30 years in the industry in 2026, his appearance at the World Creole Music Festival represents both a celebration of longevity and a new chapter in his professional journey.
His participation also highlights the growing opportunities for Sint Maarten’s entertainers to reach audiences beyond the island and showcase the talent, culture and creativity that the country has to offer.

For DJ Outkast, the experience was about more than performing at another festival. It was an opportunity to represent his homeland, celebrate three decades of dedication to his craft and carry the Sint Maarten flag proudly onto one of the Caribbean’s biggest musical stages.
